Team Patron headed to the Big Go

Indianapolis, IN (September 1, 2010) – After using the past two months to completely freshen up their Mustang, Team Patron is excited to be competing at the Big Go in Indianapolis this Labor Day weekend.  Historically, the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals is the biggest and most challenging race to win on the NHRA Lucas Oil circuit.  Fans come from all over the world to take-in this monumental event on Indy’s most hallowed ground.

Team Patron and driver Alexis De Joria have used the past two months of down time to rest up and begin their assault on a Top 10 finish in national points beginning with Indy.  “We tested last weekend so we could try some new parts that our Crew Chief, Nick Bastiao wanted to try prior to Indy. Also, the entire team wanted to get back on the track to make sure everything is 100% including me” said De Joria.  “We haven’t raced since Norwalk and I wanted to be sure I am mentally prepared going into this huge race”.

“Indy is such a special event and we know the field of competitors is going to be tougher than ever”.  “We made some great test runs and believe we are well prepared and excited to make Indy a great race for our Patron Tequila team.”

Most racers equate winning Indy to winning a championship.  This year De Joria and the Patron Team hope to find out how special winning Indy can be.
